General information / changes from past editors
- First Mii editor to be stored within system settings rather than a dedicated app.
- First Mii editor with no native background music. Since the editor is now an applet, compatible software will have its background music play while a user creates a Mii.
- 92 colors for hair, eyes, facial hair, glasses, and lips have been added.
- 9 new glasses have been added.
- Copying, favorite, creator's name, and birthday options have been removed; bringing down Mii data files by 8 bytes.
- Mii limit has dropped to 100.
- Miis now appear on the right of the screen during creation.
- Choose a Look-Alike returns from the Wii. Note this could be accessed on the Wii U through its first-time setup, but does not appear again in its Mii Maker application.
- Amiibo data can be scanned to copy the Mii stored on it.
- Create from Photo option has been removed due to the Nintendo Switch lacking a camera.
- Users can no longer generate and scan QR codes or renders of Miis.
