A Mii character can be selected to replace Pirate Pete after the player completes a few matches of Party Game Pirate and Pop-Up Logic; the game's two main modes. Miis in this title are voiced, but use sped up versions of Pirate Pete's voice clips regardless of the Mii's gender.
