Mii usage

Style Savvy: Fashion Forward has a very unique way of utilizing Mii characters. When an amiibo is scanned into the game, a client appears in the boutique wearing an outfit inspired by the series associated with that figure. This client is actually based on the Mii stored on the amiibo, with the title converting its data into one of its stylized character models seen in game. When you interact with the client, they’ll mention that a girl drew their portrait, then present you a picture of the original Mii's face.

When the game converts a Mii character into its own stylized character, it uses the same facial parts a player can select when designing their character - meaning players can manually recreate an amiibo client's appearance, effectively allowing them to "play" as their Mii.

This process is similar to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's internal method of converting Mii characters into the game's stylized non-playable characters.

If the amiibo figure scanned does not correlate to a character or series the game recognizes, the client will wear a Super Star themed outfit instead.
